"Where Service Meets the Street"

St. Catherine Labouré Parish is embarking on a bold new mission to bring hope and essential supplies directly to our neighbors in Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, and South Park. The Labouré of Love Mobile Ministry is a volunteer-driven outreach designed to serve our most vulnerable populations.

Why This Matters for Our Community

Many families and seniors in our local community face a "hidden" crisis: they lack access to non-perishable food and essential household items—like detergents and diapers—that are often unavailable through traditional assistance.

By taking our ministry on the road, we:

• Build Trust First: We meet people where they are, providing for physical needs to build the foundations for spiritual outreach.

• Act as a Mobile Witness: Our branded van will be a constant sign of our parish’s faith and charity as it travels through our neighborhoods.

• Proactive Care: We aren't just waiting for those in need to find us; we are delivering the generosity of our parish directly to their doorsteps.

Our Van is our vehicle to share the Love of Jesus

Labouré of Love's mission is simple yet vital: to bridge the gap between abundance and need by delivering essential food and supplies to families in our local community. We believe that no resource should go to waste when neighbors are in need.

We drive our mission forward through three key pillars:

• Community Mobilization: We are hosting six major parish drives throughout the year, bringing community members together to gather essential supplies for those who need them most.

• Business Partnerships: We want to connect with local businesses to rescue surplus inventory, extra product, and overstock, ensuring these goods are redirected to support local families.

• Nonprofit Collaboration: We work hand-in-hand with Catholic and local nonprofits, leveraging shared networks to efficiently move supplies and get them directly to individuals and families in crisis.

As we encounter the evolving needs of our community, we plan to adapt and grow this ministry to meet those challenges head-on.

*We are not meant to serve individuals; that falls under the Ladies of Charity or St. Vincent de Paul.  They are equipped for that.
